How to Delete Your Account and Data

WaySense respects your privacy rights and provides several options to delete your account and personal data:

Option 1: Delete Through the App

  1. Open the WaySense app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Select “Delete account/deactivate”
  4. Follow the confirmation steps to permanently delete your account and data

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

You can also request deletion by sending an email to privacy@waysense.io with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.

Please include the following information:

  • The email address or phone number associated with your WaySense account
  • Your full name
  • A clear statement that you want to delete your account and all associated data

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we will remove:

  • Your personal profile information
  • Your trip history and driving data
  • Your saved locations and preferences
  • Any photos or videos captured through the app
  • Your messaging history with other users

Timeframe for Deletion

We will process your deletion request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Data Retention

Please note that some information may be retained for legal, security, or business purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy. This may include:

  • Records needed for legal compliance
  • Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you
  • Information necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse
